Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter is a well-known American actor, producer and director. Her work has been recognized for her roles in films like Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles and The Incredibles. The film Piano was awarded an Oscar. Early on, the accomplished actress began acting on stage in a number of Broadway or Off Broadway productions. When she was a kid, Helen Keller was her favourite character in a fifth year production. The mumps caused her to lose hearing in one her ear, however this did not stop her from pursuing her dream. While in college, she studied drama after which she relocated to New York City with her goals to achieve them. She was introduced to Beth Henley in an elevator and they worked together to make Broadway Crimes of the Heart the first movie Hunter made. After moving from Los Angeles she tried to get film roles and bagged an acting role as a support for the role of a supporting character in Swing Shift. She has since appeared in many shows and TV films throughout a span of over three decades. Holly Hunter has a Hollywood Walk of Fame star and won Women in Film Lucy Award.
